Le mie più sentite condoglianze per la dipartita della cara Rose. Sono particolarmente affranta dalla notizia della sua scomparsa. Rose non era semplicemente la mia madrina di battesimo ma era una grande amica di famiglia, una persona generosa  su cui si poteva contare in qualsiasi momento, sempre presente e disponibile a dare una grossa mano. Era una persona davvero stupenda.  I ricordi più belli della mia infanzia sono legati proprio a lei. Ho sempre sognato un giorno di tornare in Canada e di riabbracciarla. Ora tutto ciò non sarà più possibile. Il mio abbraccio più forte va soprattutto a Diana di cui conservo un dolcissimo ricordo, a Rocky e al suo amato Ralph.

You are the best and most loyal grandmother I have ever seen. You always had my back even when I was in the wrong. I love you so much nonna words cannot explain. When I was in need of guidance you were always the one with the answer. I have always admired your intelligence and wisdom. There is no replacing you. You are and always will be the most dominant person I have ever known. I love you so much and will never forget your loyalty to our family. You are my hero and role model.

I'm was deeply sadden to hear the passing of your beautiful wife and mother Rose.  I always remember Rose with a smile on her face.  She was an extremely generous lady who was always providing wonderful prizes at the Montorio Nei Frentani club picnics.  I remember times I took my mom to Rose's home for coffee as her and my mom shared stories and laughs.   May Rose rest in eternal peace.  May God bless your entire family during this difficult time

My beautiful Nonna Rosa, I miss you so much already. These past few months have been heartbreaking, but watching how hard you fought was a true testament to who you are: incredibly strong, resilient, patient and loving. I could go on and on… there aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe your incredible soul. 

I know that you said everything you wanted to say, you were showered with so much love and you never let us forget how much you love us. You’re my role model, my teacher and the backbone of our family, and I’m so honoured and privileged to love and be loved by someone so special for the past 25 years. 

You taught me what it means to work hard in life. I’ll never forget coming along with you to Quality Paint…even though you never let me carry any heavy boxes (‘let nonna ralph do that! You sit beside me right here, behind the counter!’), you instilled such strong values in me that I hope to pass down to future generations. 

I miss Sunday afternoons at your house so much. I miss watching you from head of the table, laughing, smiling and debating with friends and family… always ready with witty comebacks and one-liners. Although you were the pasta queen, I’ll miss your delicious calamari the most. 

You made me feel so safe and secure. I was your only granddaughter out of six boys, and you never let me forget that. I love you so much nonna. You always said ‘Tough times don’t last, tough people do,’ and while this is the toughest moment in my family’s life, I know you will shower us with strength and perseverance to get through.

I love you my pesciolina bella, and I can’t wait to see you again.

Nonna, while summing up my feelings over the last few days has been difficult, I reflect on your beautiful time on earth with the greatest pleasure. You went about life in a way that I had always admired. Like so many other family members of mine, I’m proud to have spent lots of summers at Quality Paint with you. You always had such a lasting impression on any customer that walked through the doors, and with you behind that counter, I learned so much of what I value today. I will miss going over to your house to enjoy a nice bowl of pasta with you and Nonno, biking there whilst being so excited to tell you whatever happened at my soccer game the night before. You were the best role model to your grandchildren possible and your hardworking mentality was always contagious. These last few months have been hard, but your strength during that time was special to watch.  I made sure to cherish every single big smile I got from you because there’s none other like it. Nonna, I know that not only the family I grew up around at your dinner table will cherish having someone so incredible like you watching over us, but also your family on St.Clair. I move forward in my young life knowing you’ll be right there by my side to guide me in the right direction with great assurance. I will miss you Nonna, but your memory lives on with me and so many others forever.


To my Nonna Rosa. You have always been my guardian angel. While watching you fight cancer these past couple of months has been difficult, it’s also given me the chance to reflect on all the beauty you brought into my world.
 
You taught me so much in my life, & you were always there to guide me through all the ups & downs that this world throws at you.
 
You taught me to always stand up for myself & my beliefs, & to follow my heart. You showed me that no matter how difficult things may get, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. & one of the most important things you taught me is that family always comes first. 
 
Your advice has always been invaluable & there is no one else on this planet who will know exactly what it is to say to me like you do, even if it was the cold truth that I didn’t want to hear. You’ve been the guiding voice through relationships, hospital visits, work & everything in between. You are truly one of a kind. There’s not a single person out there who could ever replace you.  
 
When I think about you, I always think about the times you were happiest. Around the dinner table on Christmas Eve with my brothers, sisters, cousins, parents, aunts & uncles eating pasta and meatballs, you always had the biggest smile on your face. Greeting customers at Quality Paint, & always treating everyone who walked into your store with the same level of respect and warmth. Teaching Liana, Matthew, Anthony, Alex, Christian & I the importance of work ethics while we worked at your store growing up.  You touched the lives of countless people on this planet. While I knew you as a loving Nonna, others new you as a fearless entrepreneur, a caring sister, a devoted wife, a graceful mother & a friend you could always count on.
 
I won’t be saying goodbye to you because in my eyes, you will always live on. You will always be the voice in my head leading me in the right direction.
 
You will always be my Nonna Rosa and my guardian angel.

To Rose’s family.  Our deepest condolences go out to you all.  Rose is in a much better place.  A place of peace, joy and love.  Rose was a very strong woman.  She loved her family with all her might.  She will be missed dearly.  R.I.P Rose 🙏🏻❤️

She was also a great friend and I will miss her.  Rose I will always remember you and thank you for all your wisdom.  R.I.P. my dear friend.
