Ruth Yvonne McCann

Ruth Yvonne McCann was peacefully called home to the Lord and reunited with her loving husband, Daniel and eldest son Wayne. She leaves behind her adoring children: Florence, Diane (Brian), Daniel (Angela), and Michelle (Terry). The lights of her life were her grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Karlee, Emily, Mercedes, Victoria, Bronwyn, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Charlotte, along with her cherished great-grandchildren, Kailee, Aria, Dawson and Isla. She was a proud sister to Larry and Elizabeth “Betty.”

Ruth dedicated her life to her family and to serving others with kindness and compassion. She was a devoted and loving mom and Nana, even to children who were not her own. She had a beautiful way of making everyone feel welcomed, heard, and cared for, always placing the needs of others before her own.

Ruth was the kindest soul, known for her gentle heart, warm hugs, loud laughs and unconditional love. She was also remembered for BINGO, poppy making, strength, her wild and adventurous spirit, her strong will, and a little scrappiness in her younger days.

She was a loving mother, a steady source of support, and the heart of our family. Her love and compassion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her, as we trust she now rests peacefully in God’s eternal care.

Christmas was her favorite time of year, and we find comfort knowing she was welcomed into Heaven to join our father, brother, and loved ones during her most cherished season. Though she will be deeply and sadly missed, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, watching over us, until we are reunited.

Visitation will be held on January 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home, located at 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4C1L3, Canada.

The funeral service will follow on January 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the same location.
