Mrs. Ruth Thwaites

Saturday, July 9, 2011, Ruth passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Palliative Care, Toronto Ontario at the young age of 91. Born Ruth Julia Harasyn on November 1, 1919 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ruth moved to Toronto, Ontario where she met Henry and married January 3rd, 1940 in St. Martins Church in Toronto. Survived by her loving son Larry and his wife Linda; grandson Dan; granddaughter Karen Meier and her husband Jason; great granddaughters, Kayla and Kjerstin; long time friend Diane. Ruth is also survived by daughter Elizabeth. She will be dearly missed by extended family, friends and neighbours whose only solace is in having known her and that she will no longer feel the pain and suffering she had been experiencing for an extended time. Predeceased by her husband Henry; parents, Mr. & Mrs. T.F. Harasyn and her sister Mary. Ruth Thwaites will remain forever in our hearts and minds as we reflect on a woman who was a thoughtful and wonderful person loved by everyone and a caring spouse, mother and friend. A memorial visitation will be held in the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence Avenue – 416-488-1101) on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. In Lieu of Flowers, donations in her name to C.N.I.B. (or your choice) would be appreciated.
