Shawn Craig Churchill

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shawn Craig Churchill on June 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Shawn's departure was unexpected, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends.

Born on August 1, 1959, Shawn lived a life full of quiet strength, warmth, and devotion. He was a man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—cheering on his favorite hockey teams, enjoying a cold beer on a sunny afternoon, and tending to his garden with patience and pride. His passion for nature and his love of the game were only matched by the love he held for his family.

Shawn’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his daughter, Danielle, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Liam. His eyes lit up every time he spoke of them, and his love was steady, unconditional, and deeply felt. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, easy laugh, and the way he made those around him feel valued and loved.

Shawn leaves behind his daughter Danielle, grandson Liam, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the gardens we tend, the games we watch, and in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A private memorial will be held by the family to honor Shawn’s life. In lieu of flowers, please consider raising a glass in his memory or planting something beautiful in your garden—a tribute he surely would have appreciated.
