

Moran, Sister Susan, O.L.M. - Suddenly on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Residence of Our Lady's Missionaries. Sister Susan was born in Montreal to her beloved parents Thomas and Kathleen Moran (nee O'Connell). She was raised in Toronto and studied at Loretto Abbey and Toronto Teacher's College. After teaching in Toronto for a few years she entered Our Lady's Missionaries in 1963. She continued to teach in Toronto and worked as a Pastoral Minister at St. Michael's College School which led to her co-founding the Out of the Cold program. Sister Susan obtained her Masters in Theological Studies at St. Augustines College. She was also awarded the Order of Canada and received many recognitions for her work with the homeless, to whom she devoted her love and her life. Sister Susan will be sadly missed by her sister Maureen (Michael Eustace) and her brother Dan (Karen Moran). Loving aunt of Mary Jo, DeeDee, Michael, Liz, Ed, Paul and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Residence of Our Lady's Missionaries, 2 Leander Court, on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Scarborough Mission Chapel, 2685 Kingston Road. Interment to be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Donations to The Out of the Cold in your faith community would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
