Peacefully, at Michael Garron Hospital, on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, Teena Steinke passed away in her 99th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Ben Steinke (1998); and a devoted mother to her sons, Ken and Bob; and proud grandmother of Ian.
Teena was known for her love of baking which she lovingly share with family and friends. she also had a deep love for her flower garden and found joy in feeding the little birds that visited her front veranda. Her friendly chats with neighbours, particularly on her walks to the corner store for a few scratch and win cards, will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff on the 9th floor of St. Michael's Hospital, and to the Palliative Care Team at Michael Garron Hospital, for their compassionate care during Teena's final months.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Life for Teena will take place at a later date.
