Teresa De Rango

after a prolonged illness, on Thursday November 23, 2023 at Kipling Acres Long Term Care Home.

Born on November 13, 1934 to Gaspare and Arcangela Conforti in Rende, Calabria, Italy. She is now united in Heaven with her beloved husband of 64 years, Gennaro De Rango. Loving and proud mother to Maria Pia (Paolo), Gaetano (Rita) and Francesco (Theresa). Adoring Nonna to Danielle (Steve), Marc, Luke (Tricia) and Liana (Alejandro).

Dear sister to Leonardo (Maria), the late Francesco (Giuseppina), Anna (late Rosario), Antonietta (Roberto) and Carmen (Beatrice). Cherished aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Teresa dedicated her life to her family. Being the eldest of six siblings, she assisted her parents in raising her younger brothers and sisters. In 1964, Teresa with her husband Gennaro and their three young children, immigrated from southern Italy to Toronto. She continued her devotion to family, by raising her own children and caring for her grandchildren. Her strong Faith and religious devotion led her to many years of volunteer work at her local churches and at Villa Columbo. As a working mother, Teresa also made time for her favorite hobbies which included gardening, baking, knitting, sewing and making the best meatballs according to her grandchildren.

Teresa will leave an enormous void in the lives of her family, friends and those whose lives she touched.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Thistletown at Kipling Acres, for their kindness, support and excellent care shown to Teresa during her eight year stay.

Visitations will be held at Del Moro Funeral Home, 61 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto, on Monday November 27, 2023 from 2- 4 pm and 6-9 pm.

Funeral mass (publicly livestreamed) will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Toronto, on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 9:30 am.

Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albian Road, Toronto.
