Born on June 9, 1959, in Toronto, she was the beloved daughter of Patricia Eleanor Bowers (née Boyd) and William Earl Bowers.
She is lovingly remembered by her partner of 43 years, Steven Gordon Robbins; her brother, Michael; her sister, Linda; and her nephews and nieces, Benjamin, Sarah, Adam, Joseph and Desmond Bowers, Auri and Jack Verleyson, Elizabeth Walters, Lance Foeller and Trisha and Natasha Pruess. She was predeceased by her sister, Karen, with whom she had a special bond.
Theresa was deeply rooted in the Danforth–Main community in Toronto, where she spent many years building lasting relationships and strengthening the fabric of the neighborhood she called home. She touched more lives than can be counted and far too many to touch on in such a small space, offering her time, compassion, and steady presence to friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Her generosity knew no limits. She gave selflessly to those she cherished and extended that same devotion to others who found their way into her life. Over the years, she welcomed many as family, informally adopting them into her circle and offering guidance, loyalty, and unwavering support. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she shaped and the enduring bonds she created.
While no memorial service will formally be planned at this time, we ask all to remember her in their own way until such time as one can be arranged in keeping with her wishes.
