We have great memories of wonderful times spent with Tom and 
Audrey. They are the godparents of our beautiful Andrea and were a big part of our lives when we lived in Toronto. We will miss Tom and send our deepest regrets and prayers to Aunt Audrey and all our cousins. love Gail and Arnold.

I was a rookie in February 1971 when I was sent to 14 Division. One of the first supervisors I had the great pleasure of meeting was Sgt McManus.
In a word - gentleman.
He was the epitome of what all supervisors should have aspired to be like...but so few achieved.

I fist met Sgt Tom McManus on March 1967 at 14 Div Admin Office. Always a gentleman and tried to accomodate everyone's needs. Some people are destined to leave a positive and memorable impression.

I will always remember Tom from my years in 14 Division. Been a new recruit (Jan/Feb 1968) Tom treated me with the greatest of respect, and was always there for me when i needed guideness. Truly a gentleman.

I was a very young police officer in 14 Division. Tom was one of my first patrol sergeants. He stood out in those days as a kind caring person. He was a man you could talk to. He lived a good life and contributed much in the way I have tried to live mine.

As a young Constable in Fourteen Division Sergeant Tom McManus was like a mentor to me.  At my first construction site work fatality Tom attended and walked me through the whole process including putting the case together for Coroner's Court. Privledged is the only way I can express how fortunate I feel that this wonderful man was my Grandfather and Great Grandfather to our children.  I have so many warm and wonderful memories of him.  I will always remember him as a man of integrity.  He was strong, loving, kind and of course funny.  I was so happy that we were able to spend time with him over Christmas.  It was wonderful to have Owen and Emmett Thomas get bounced on Great Grandpa's knee.  We all love you very much and will miss you dearly.

I have such great memories of Uncle Tom, his sense of humor and love. He will be much missed. Loved viewing those photos of him and with all your family, especially of our grandparents in 1924! thank you for posting them.

I just heard from Aunt Patsy about the passing away of Uncle Tom. Our deepest condolences to all of you. Uncle Tom was a wonderful person and I have a lot of good memories from when we were kids and visiting you all. Please give a huge hug to Aunt Audrey and hugs to all of you. What a legacy he has left.  His children and grandchildren are solid and productive citizens, making their own mark in the world.  He has instilled in them a good work ethic, a devotion to family and a love of life that will live on.  He will be greatly missed and remembered.
