Thomas Edward Missen

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our adored father Thomas (Ted) Edward Missen. Ted passed away peacefully in his home on September 13, 2025 at the age of 98 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Norma.

Ted was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 28, 1927. He first met Norma, his wife of 70 years, on New Years Eve 1954 while delivering beer for Brewers Retail to Norma’s dad. They married on September 24, 1955 and bonded over their love of family and friends throughout their long and happy marriage.

Ted leaves behind his children Randy and Tracy, son-in-law Todd, his grandchildren Lana, Grace, Hannah, Ryan, and his great-grandson Connor. Ted was the last of his immediate family and preceded in death by his parents John and Edith and siblings Audrey, John, Dorothy, William, George and Wilfred.

We are so grateful for the amazing personal support workers who provided incredible care to Dad, especially over the last few years as Dad’s Parkinson’s progressed. While his disease impacted his mobility, Dad never lost his sense of humour and his memory and love of family remained strong.
