Trifon Chaitas

12 septembre 19726 septembre 2021

His name was Trifon Chaitas. He was brought to us all as an Angel. His heart was made of gold. Trif was the best husband, the best brother, the best son, the best friend, the best everything.

He LOVED every sport in the world but his heart and passion was Toronto Maple Leafs.

Trif was giving to all, his family, his wife, his friends and the community and those in need. He will be missed for his smile, his humour, he heart, his kind and gentle soul.

His moto in life was work hard play hard, enjoy life and be kind. He was brought to us as an Angel and the Heavens have decided to bring him home. There was only one Trifon in this world and this world will never be the same. His wife Kiki, father Nick, Sister Agnes. Sister in law Helen, brother in law Joe and so many family members and friends.

Please know that the safety of our guests is of the utmost importance. While visiting Jerrett Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel, you must sanitize your hands upon entering. Kiki, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Lacrosse Foundation, please accept our deepest condolences on your loss of our friend and fellow Board member, Trifon. We were all shocked to learn about his sudden passing at such a young age.

While not an active lacrosse participant, Trifon joined our Board of Directors some 25 years ago and was an active and valuable member of the Board for this entire time. He participated in the normal activities of a Board Member and took on additional work serving as our Treasurer and as a member of the Investment Committee. He stepped up and took on additional responsibilities at the 150th Anniversary of Lacrosse celebration held in Montreal in 2017. Trifon exemplified the character and demeanour that garnished respect from fellow Board Members.

We will all miss his contributions to our meetings and his thoughtful comments during our discussions. We are very sorry for your loss and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for the time we got to spend with him.
