It’s difficult to say goodbye to an exemplary woman that together with her loving husband and children welcomed me to their family as a daughter.

Your family’s love was instrumental growing up with no relatives of my own in Canada, with the exception of my mom, brother and sister.

It provided stability, laughter, companionship and a sense of belonging.
Although life takes us in different directions, I will always cherish the memories and friendship.

Your mom and dad always had a smile for me, not to mention the never ending food.

I always felt welcomed and enjoyed speaking Italian to them as we all sat around the kitchen table laughing and joking.
Your parents and all of you will always be in my heart.

Zia Virginia was a beautiful woman inside and out. Always so gracious and always with a smile on her face. She raised an amazing family with the biggest hearts I’ve ever come across. God  bless her as she reunites with the love of her life, Zio Salvatore, and God bless all her loving  children.

I have known your family for 40+ years and the beautiful memories
of the tiny 2 bedroom home exhibited LOVE and warm  hospitality.
Both your parents always welcomed me no matter what time of day I would visit... there were always a smile on their faces and non stop food/snacks on the table. They were always polite and endured my long visits in spite of not understanding much English!
Your Father passed away 8 years ago and your Mother continued with her love and warm hospitality to the end.
They are both united now and my memories of them are that they were such a special loving couple who raised 5 wonderful, dedicated, loving, caring and supportive individuals. 
I am so sorry to hear of her passing... on another note she is free of pain and suffering.

Our mother was the center of our world and our world came crashing down this past week when she took her last breath peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Our mother brought us into this world and it’s hard to imagine a life without her but her many loving memories will help us navigate our lives moving forward. It’s difficult at this time to put words together when we reflect on her life. It’s an honor to call her our mother who made her family the single most important priority in her life. Her kind and loving nature made you feel that you were the most important person in the room. Many people have told us that she was one of the kindest, most generous and loving people they have ever met. 

She and dad raised five kids in a tiny two bedroom house which she transformed into a warm and inviting home for us and for anyone who came to visit. Her basement became a practice area for our brother’s band and even though the music volume made the house shake she took so much pleasure in having them there. She was always ready with coffee and cookies when they took a break.

She treated everyone with kindness and respect. She never complained except when dad brought in bushels of escarole from the garden that needed to be washed even though she enjoyed doing them. Her and her famous red charcoal barbecue created the juiciest and most tasty chicken wings you have ever tasted.

Mom loved her granddaughters Sabrina and Simona. She waited patiently at the window for them to arrive which always resulted in a huge smile. They brought her a lot of happiness and joy.

Saying goodbye to mom is heartbreaking but she is in a better place and her physical suffering has passed. She is now looking down on us and guiding us from above. We still sense her presence with us which gives us a lot of comfort during this difficult time. Thank you to all of our family and friends that were an important part of her life.

Rest in peace mom. Until we meet again.

Your mother was a gentle soul and had so much humour.
I personally have lots of memories of it and she was always welcoming us with a big smile.
She will be greatly missed by many.
If we were closer and not in the Covid restrictions, we would certainly attend to her memory.

Our sincerest condolences to the entire Carpino family on the passing of your mom.  Heaven has acquired another angel, and our lives have been forever bettered by her presence.  Signora Carpino always greeted me as if I was one of the family - with open arms and a smile.  She loved to laugh at my antics, and welcomed everyone with open arms.  I still remember the first time I was welcomed into the Carpino home - a modest house - that transformed into a palace with the love that emanated throughout.  It was a home away from home for me; a second family. She will always be remembered by me, and in my heart, as a wonderful, gracious lady.
