William Moses LeBlanc

He was born in Toronto on December 9, 1954, the Son of the Late Frederick William (Bill) LeBlanc and Jacqueline (Jackie) LeBlanc (nee Bessette) and was predeceased by his parents.

Bill is survived by his loving brothers Frederick (Fred), Charles Douglas (Doug), sister Katherine (Kathy) and her husband Nick Valant, and nieces Sarah and Claire Valant.

Bill enjoyed his retirement after a long career at General Motors in Oshawa.

One of Bill’s lifelong passions was for naval ships, particularly WWII U.S. Navy ships. Bill had an encyclopedic knowledge of the entire fleet, which he was only too eager to share with anyone who cared to listen. Bill loved learning and enjoyed passing time making models of the ships. Another favourite pastime was oil painting and he was very proud to share and display his work.

Bill enjoyed reminiscing and had an extraordinary and impressive recollection of details forgotten by most. Bill would often recall the people from the past and both good times and bad in vivid detail as if it were yesterday.

Later in life, Bill embraced a programme of physical activity enjoying swimming, bicycle riding and long walks. Bill slowed down a little in later years, but there was no change in his spirit.

Bill was a kind and generous soul who was dedicated to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation for Bill will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, Ontario M1K 2B2 on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A (Roman Catholic) Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Maria Goretti Church, 717 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, Ontario, M1K 2C1 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 3M1 will follow the Funeral Mass.
