Yvonne Mary Gowan

Beloved wife of Cyril Gowan, Yvonne was a devoted mother to Norma and Jude. Caring mother-in-law to Hector Baring. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her three “Darlings” Christina Baring, Candice Gowan, and Aidan Gowan. Yvonne is also survived by her dear sisters, Carol Nathaniel and Daphne Gowan, and many more nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends including in Pakistan, Australia and Canada.

Yvonne will be remembered for her gentle spirit, deep love for her family, her unwavering selflessness, kindness, and passion for cooking. She had a flair for elegance, always making sure to wear a touch of extra-fancy jewelry — a reflection of her timeless class and the pride she took in presenting herself with grace and style. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will take place at St. Dunstan’s Church, 3150 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, on Thursday, August 28th at 11:30 a.m., followed by the burial at St. Jude's Wexford Cemetery.
