Alice Evelyn Lord

Born in Danvers, Massachuttes on June 9 1926. She and her husband Perley "Red" moved to Hermosa Beach from New Hampshire with their three daughters in 1955. Alice passed on August 19, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family in her home the Crystal Palace.

Alice retired from TRW/Northrup in 1981. She quickly became involved in the TRW's Retirement Association, serving as the Activities Coordinator and Director at Large. She joined the Hermosa Beach Garden Club and quickly volunteer much of her time towards upcoming events. She made many good friends while serving as 2nd Vice President. Traveling was her passion and she covered much of the globe and was always packed for the next adventure. Alice loved dancing, walking, talking up a storm, spending time with family and friends and eating chocolates from her secret stash.

Alice will be missed dearly by her three daughters and their families. Survived by Gail Corey(Steve), Linda Kingdon(Steve), Susan Matterson(Steve). Her adoring and loving grandchildren Tyler, Leah, Stephanie, Devin, Seyd and Heth and great grandchildren Myla and Quinn

Clerbratiion of her life will be held on September 20, 1:00 p.m. at White & Day, Manhattan Beach. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Relay for Life and Susan B. Komen Foundation.
