I will always miss him and love him, but i know that he is now in a better place with my grandma, i will never forget how in every game of cards that he won, he would follow it by saying "Out mit me!" and that always made us laugh. Jake will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget all of his great advice given to me in a gentle way. He always had a way in lifting everyone up and I will always remember his saying "No stinkin thinkin!"  It will always bring a smile to my face when I think about how Uncle Jake used to chase me around the farm, calling me the "Clark Candy Bar!"  He was so very genuine.  May God give his family strength during this very difficult time.

Grandpa always filled his home with infectious laughter.  He had a nickname for everyone, but unlike most nicknames, his were often much longer than your given name.      Though I miss you Grandpa, I know you are up there with Grandma watching over us and that we will all be reunited one day.

I was always in awe how you and Bonnie nurtured and loved your family and the return was tenfold, your children are awesome. And I, of course, feel I have the pick of the litter and for her I thank you both.       I have no doubt that a marathon Pinochle game is being played in Heaven! I will miss you very much Jake!!       I am afraid that all we can do is "wait a while".

Arn - You were one great brother-in-law and we always enjoyed being with you.  Arlo admired you so very much and so did I.  You were there for us whenever we needed you.  I know that you and Bonnie are together again for all eternity.  We love you 'brother' and I look forward to being with everyone again some day.  Love,Della

I couldn't have asked for a more caring, loving, generous father.  Dad was someone I always enjoyed being around because he would always make me giggle..laughter was a huge part of my life with him.  He loved his friends and family and was not one that enjoyed being alone, so everyone always knew they were welcome to visit anytime.  He was a sweet, kind-hearted man, a gentleman whom  I admired.  He brought the first love of my life into our home...her name was Skoshe.  I'm so glad mom and dad didn't let me have my way and follow dad home from vacation in Iowa to pick out our first family pet because we might not have ended up with Skoshe.  He taught me to be more compassionate and understanding of those who were less fortunate and to be more aware of my blessings in life.  I loved his sense of humor and I am looking forward to one day hearing his laugher again.  I have been very blessed.  My eternal love and admiration dad -- love your daughter Decie-Dee (the first 'Long-legged filley')
