Betty Lou Paine

Betty Paine, a South Bay resident for more than 50 years, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2006 in Torrance, CA. Betty was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 15, 1930 to William and Emma Flynn. Betty was a devout Roman Catholic and parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic. She was a proud and active member (until her illness) of the Holy Names Society at Our Lady of Guadalupe church. Betty is survived by Husband, Benny, Son, Benjamin and his Wife Bridget of Aliso Viejo , CA, Son, Mark of Redondo Beach, CA, Son, Mike and his Wife Michele, of Santa Clarita, CA., Sisters Nelda of McMinnville, Or, and Rose of Pittsburgh, Pa, and Brother Bill of Pittsburgh, Pa. In addition, Betty is survived by 8 grandchildren: Justin, Lauren, Megan, Sean, Shelbi, Cassie, Caitlin, and Cody and one great-grandchild, Evan. A funeral mass celebrating her life & honoring her generous and joyful sprit will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
