Bonnie Jean Harrison peacefully slipped away to her heavenly rest Friday Jan. 4th 2008, surrounded in love by her husband and family. She came into this life Dec. 7, 1931 as the 8th of Fred and Bertha Lewellyn's 10 children in Unionville, MO. A California resident for 66 years, she attended Narbonne High School, later became the Powder Puff Derby champion at Western Speedway, was also a champion bowler, skilled card player, and managed the Missile Bowl in Gardena for 30 years. Her beauty, laughter, friendliness, courage and determination was admired by all and her love is irreplaceable.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Dallas Harrison of Redondo Beach, daughters Susan (Hershell) Mann; Dallas Jean Ritchie and Terri (Tom) Billhime; 7 grandchildren David, Kanani, Joshua, Tara, Ian, Thomas and Suzan and 3 sisters. Services will be held at 2PM Wednesday Jan. 9, 2008 at White and Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach.
