

Bruce Edward Williams of Torrance passed away on December 29th, 2012 at the age of 51. Bruce was born in Kenton Ohio to parents Edward and Linda Williams and moved to the South Bay area as a young child. As a young man he enlisted into the Air Force and while stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base outside of Spokane Washington where he met Linda Renee Morey, whom he married in November 1982. Upon discharge from the Air Force the couple moved to the South Bay area and had a family with three sons and two nieces.
Bruce was always there for family, which has always been very important to him and Linda. This strong love of family is how their two nieces Alyssa and Christina became part of their immediate family.
Bruce enjoyed camping, dirt bike riding, hiking, and bowling. One of his favorite spots to camp and hike was Yosemite, where he had scaled Half Dome.
When he was discharged from the Air Force Bruce worked at a Pharmaceutical Chemical production plant in LA until it closed. At that time he was a stay at home Dad for a couple of years until he became very active at the Redondo Beach Elks Lodge and later began to work for them in the office. Bruce was always busy with the youth activities of the Lodge such as the Dictionary Project and Hoop Shoot – all of which he greatly enjoyed.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Linda Renee Williams of Torrance, 3 sons – Michael, Mark and Thomas Williams, 2 nieces Alyssa and Christina Laxamana, his Father Edward Williams, his sister Dana Williams, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many other family members.
