With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carlos Roberto Mendoza at the age of 73 of natural heart disease. He passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in his home in Torrance, CA
Born in Argentina, September 12, 1943 to Josefa Mendoza. He grew up with his mom, dad and sister Pilar. At the tender age of 21 he served in the Argentine military. Upon graduating he found his first job at a prestigious magazine as a pressman and at the age of 28 he decided to leave his country as a newly wed to move to the United States. Here he continued his work life at Diamond Label and established his resume in printing. He had an amazing work ethic and enjoyed a good political or soccer debate. He was passionate about his favorite soccer team, Boca Juniors and actively played the sport until his death. He was a loyal friend loved by many.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Carlos Mariano Mendoza and Alex Mendoza, their wives and his 5 grandchildren, Jessica (27), Benjamin(13), Catalina(11), Anabel(8) and Olivia(6).
We will say our last goodbye this Thursday, January 19 at 5 pm.
