Dye, Dale Glyn "Tiny", a 31 year resident of the South Bay, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Compton, CA. Born in Everett, WA, Tiny was 57 when he died. He was a member of the New Hope Fellowship in Gardena, CA. Tiny graduated high school in Big Bear, CA. Each year, he has attended the high school reunions that are held in Big Bear. A reunion was planned for this coming weekend and he had put new tires on his car in anticipation of attending with Diana. Tiny worked at Delta Motors in Long Beach, California for 37 years. He served as a mechanic and sandblaster for the repair of big ship motors. Tiny was a fan of Country and Western music. Tiny enjoyed the wisdom of Billy Graham, praying with Diana, and singing music with Marian and Diana. Tiny loved people and people loved him, where ever he went. He was well known for his jokes, sense of humor, and his warm and loving personality. Whenever things went wrong (as they sometimes do), Tiny would get angry, but he was always quick to sincerely apologize afterward. He was also known for his wisdom and caring manner. He was quick to give comfort to people in need, including children. When a friend was broken, Tiny would pick up the pieces and put the friend back together better than before. His great heart went out to the poor and down-trodden. Tiny ALWAYS told the truth, never fibbed or lied. To have Tiny for a friend was one of the greatest gifts our loving Heavenly Father could bestow.
