It is with sadness that we are announcing the passing of our beautiful Mother, Donalee Marie Boujikian. She was born on September 6, 1935 in Elbowoods, North Dakota. She was of Scottish, German, and Native American descent.
Donalee lived a beautiful life growing up in Garrison, North Dakota and was the youngest of 3 girls. She has said many times no matter how hard it got, she would never have changed a thing. She was born to Camille Marguerite and Wallace Bear Hosie and had two sisters, Rosalee and Wandalee. Donalee loved her family so much and she is now with her beloved and dedicated sister Dosie and parents in Heaven. She is survived by her only other sister Wandalee McKee who has been by her side these past several years of illness.
Donalee passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 surrounded by family with Dignity, Grace, and Love and many Prayers at the age of 90 years old. Donalee moved to Los Angeles in 1957 with her sister Rosalee, where she soon met her future husband, Manas Boujikian. They were married on August 17, 1957, for 63 years until Manas's death in 2020.
Manas and Donalee loved to travel the world with their friends and relatives and had many great adventures. They loved to travel with their family, cousins, and friends to their home in Mammoth Mountain and Wrightwood where we will always have the best memories and great stories to be told.
Donalee has 7 children, Greg, Mark, Randall, Seta, Massis, Sona and Tamar. She has 21 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren and one more due in April.
Donalee was filled with devotion to whatever she did, Camp Kessab counselor and nurse, AYF mom and Auntie to all, Baseball Team Mother, School Parent, a health room nurse at St. Lawrence School where we all attended school, and a wonderful cook.
Donalee was a founding member of the Armenian Relief Society ARAX Chapter and was President and Treasures. Donalee helped run the Saturday Armenian school that we all attended as children and later worked at SMI, our family company for most of her last 30 years. She was a philanthropist who helped and supported the ANCA, ARS, AYF, ARF, many schools and colleges and her Native American Heritage.
Donalee's favorite and most important role in life was to be a mother, grandmother, a great grandmother, wife and friends to all.. She loved everyone and most people remember her kindness and her "Beautiful Smile." She loved to throw a great party for all of us. She will always be a part of us and we will never let her memory go. She is resting peacefully in Heaven with our Dad and Metz-mama and all our other Family who have passed before us.
Keep her memory close to you and you will always feel her strength to live a meaningful life full of Grace, Love and Happiness. She wanted us to pray often and Love each other. Thank you mommy for giving us such a blessed life.
