Estella B. Arce

Estella Arce, a long time resident of Lawndale, CA., passed away on August 12, 2009 at home peaceful with family around her. Estella was born in Blythe, CA. on May 25, 1914 and has resided in the Los Angeles area for the eighty years.

She began a job in housekeeping in the early 1950's and retired about thirty years later in the late 1980's. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a devoted family woman. She loved her children, grand children, and great grand children very much.

Estella enjoyed quilt making, embroidery, baking and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling to different parts of Mexico. Throughout her life she collected many different sea-shells from different places.

Estella is survived by her three children, daughter Mary Herrera of Redondo Beach, CA., son Albert Arce of Lawndale, CA., and Louie Arce of Lawndale, CA. Fifteen grand children, over thirty great grand children, and ten great great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her husband Louis O. Arce, and daughters Stella Arce and Frances Leal (Wohlwend).
