Gabriela Rubiano, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, she came to California at the age of 17. Gabriela was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Church where she actively participated in many church and school activities. Gabriela will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and how she warmed everyone's heart with her laughter and joyful spirit. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Guillermo Rubiano, mother, Julia Rivero, son, Gabriel Rubiano, daughter, Natalia Rubiano, sister, Ana Maria Urquidi, and sister Maria Esther Rivero. She was preceded in death by father, Francisco Rivero and brother, Erwin Rivero. A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 PM. The Mass will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
