Gloria was a very sweet and thoughtful child, raised in St. Louis, Missouri. As a young lady GiGi followed her heart's desire to live in sunny CA. and moved across the country to her new home in Palos Verdes. Some years later, GiGi and her children moved to Redondo Beach. This was the beginning of her life-long love for Redondo Beach and the people of the friendly beach city.
GiGi, before her illness, was always active and "out and about" enjoying the beautiful weather, and meeting many people who, over the years, came to know the "Little Lady with the big heart and bigger smile ". Gloria had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and to make others laugh with her.
GiGi had a deep love of God and her faith in Him never failed. She attended Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach. She enjoyed the broadcast messages of faith when she was unable to attend services. Her faith showed in her everyday life. GiGi never failed to share whatever she had with anyone needing help. She was also generous with her time and affection, especially with her children and grandchildren and the many children that lived in the area around her home.
All who knew her loved her dearly and will remember her always as a truly unique and classy lady, a loving, and kind Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.
She is survived by Son, Darin Brewer of Redondo Beach, CA, Son, Todd Brewer of Irvine, CA, Daughter Marlo (David) Jacobs of Ranch Cucamonga, CA, and Brother, David (Juanita) Young of IL. She was preceded in death by Husband, John Silas, Mother, Dora Young and Father, Luke Young.
