Grace Mary McMahon

A 60-year resident of Manhattan Beach passed away at age 84 on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Grace was born in New York on January 6, 1926. She was a long-time parishioner and member of American Martyrs Catholic Church, belonged to the Neptunian Club for Women and worked with various charities. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on October 11, 2010, as well as her son, Dennis. Grace is survived by her son, Bill McMahon, Jr. of Hermosa Beach, Daughters Kathleen Crusan of Long Beach and Susan Castillo of Torrance, daughter-in-law, Diane McMahon, son-in-law, Tony Castillo, and her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Grace has a zest for life. She loved the beach and ocean, watching her granddaughters play in volleyball tournaments, and spending time with all of her cherished family and friends. Grace was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held at White & Day Mortuary in Manhattan Beach on Friday, November 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vigil and Rosary will be held on Friday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m. at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 9:00 a.m. at American Martyrs Church, with a burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
