April 14,1928 - April 7, 2019
Guadalupe (Lupe) was born in Weslaco Texas. Her parents, Vicente and Guadalupe Alvarez, and the family eventually moved to California.
She was the oldest of 9 children. There were 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Their names were/are:
Guadalupe, Teresa, Socorro, Albert, Frank, Vincent, Margaret, Julian and Salvador.
Lupe survived 6 of her younger siblings. Now only Margaret and Julian remain.
Lupe had 9 children of her own: Javier, Miguel, Yolanda, David, Jesse, Diana, Alan Jr., Daniel and Robert.
She had 32 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She loved and adored all her grandchildren.
Lupe was a hard worker who took pride in her work as a Quality Control Inspector for the Hughes Aircraft Company.
She loved bowling, she was a great at it and bowled with the Hughes Aircraft bowling leagues.
She loved dancing and would dance the mambo at family events.
She loved having her family around her. She will be sorely missed.
