Heath, Helen Marie, a 60 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 in Torrance. Born in Big Stone County, Minnesota, Helen was 91 when she died. Helen was a member of The VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Helen was a teacher in North Dakota before moving out to California where she was Rosie the Riveter for Northrop. Helen loved to cook, bake, sing and dance. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. In the 80's she was very involved in the Reaching out club, and the Happy Time Pipers. Helen's passion was being a great Mom to her 3 children.
She is survived by her Son, Joel Heath of Seattle, WA; Daughter, Pam Betraun of Redondo Beach, CA; six Grandchildren; and one Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Son Loren Heath.
The Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Friday November 9, 2007 at 2pm, followed by a Reception in the Lighthouse Room. Inurnment will be private at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
