
Pearson, Henry Nigel, died in a car accident on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Fullerton. Born in Hackensack, NJ, Henry was 25 when he died. Henry grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA from the age of 3. He was a 2002 graduate of Mira Costa High.
Henry graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree. At the time of his death, he was attending law school and developing his own baseball sports management company.
His lifelong passion was baseball, which he began at the age of 3. He played on the Mira Costa High Varsity baseball team for three years and was captain in his final year. As a teenager, he interned for Fox Sports West, College Sports Television, and the Montreal Expos. At ASU, he executive produced, for three years, "Devils on the Deuce," a sports round-up program for Sun Devil Television and interned at Gaylord Sports Management.
Henry befriended many high school and college baseball players in Southern California and Arizona which led to his representation of Robbie Estrada of El Segundo, whom he signed to the Tampa Bay Rays. He was also close to a number of Major League Baseball players.
Henry touched many lives with his extreme optimism, entertaining personality, and caring nature. There was never a moment in life when he didn't give 110%. He lived life to the fullest and was always there to support his friends and family.
He is survived by his Mother, Areta Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA; Father, Nigel Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA; Sister, Jessica Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA.
A viewing will be held at White & Day Manhattan Beach on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A memorial service/celebration of his life will be held at Mira Costa High School baseball field in Manhattan Beach on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 4:00 P.M.
