Ignacio Cabrera nació el 31 de julio de 1962 en Verdia, Jalisco, México. Hijo de Hermilo Cabrera Rodríguez y Juana Sencion Padilla. Hermano de Clemente, Mario, Silviano, Antonino, Miguel, Marta, Yolanda, Maria De Jesus, Lucia y Javier Cabrera. Ignacio se casó con el amor de su vida, María Cabrera, a la temprana edad de 17 años. En 1982 dieron la bienvenida a su primogénita, Rosa Angela Cabrera, dos años después en 1984, dieron la bienvenida a su segunda hija Bianca Nataly Cabrera. Juntos vivieron en su hermoso rancho en Verdia, Jalisco hasta que un día Ignacio decidió seguir el Sueño Americano y traer a su familia a los Estados Unidos. Llegaron al Sur Central de Los Ángeles en 1986. Hija Angélica Cabrera, la tercera incorporación a la familia nació en 1987 seguida de Marta Cabrera en 1990. La última incorporación a la familia y el primer hijo Ignacio Cabrera Jr. nació en 1997. Ignacio trabajó con orgullo como operador de maquinaria durante 20 años en una empresa que amaba. Cuando Ignacio no estaba trabajando, disfrutaba pasar tiempo en su ranchito de Compton, California. Le encantaba sembrar cultivos y los animales (chivas, caballos, vacas, y su mayor pasión eran los gallos). Ignacio y su esposa vivieron una vida muy feliz y modesta junto a sus hijas y su hijo. Ignacio era un padre muy orgulloso. Siempre habló muy bien de todos los logros de sus hijos. Como padre, Ignacio era muy serio pero mostraba su amor y afecto a través de su humor, uno de sus mayores rasgos. Su humor y su excelente crianza dejan a sus hijos hermosos recuerdos de la infancia que siempre apreciarán. Como abuelo, mejor conocido como “Yito”, siempre fue súper dulce y adorable con todos sus nietos. Todos lo amaban y lo respetaban. Todos sus nietos disfrutaron pasar tiempo con Ignacio y siempre se aferrarán a sus historias de donas, las donas son algo que le encantaba compartir con todos sus nietos. O las numerosas salidas buffet con sus nietos. Como esposo, era romántico y le encantaba mostrar su amor por su esposa siempre que era posible, sorprendiéndola con flores o simplemente llamándola “amor” o “viejita Chula”. Estuvo felizmente casado con su esposa María durante 38 años, hasta su partida celestial en septiembre de 2019. Perder a su compañera de vida no fue fácil, pero él fue fuerte por sus hijos. En 2020, se mantuvo ocupado trabajando, visitando a sus hijas con frecuencia y disfrutando de desayunos con ellas en su restaurante favorito, “El Portón”. Intentaba visitar a sus hijas todos los días para cenar porque sabía que sus hijas cocinarían muchos de sus platos favoritos. Le encantaba Birria, Menudo, Pozole o simplemente un buen trozo de bistec. Amaba y siempre parecía más feliz cuando pasaba tiempo con su familia. Después de perder a su amada esposa, hizo crecer su vínculo con sus hijas y por eso siempre estarán agradecidas. Desafortunadamente, Ignacio abandonó el mundo físico el 4 de enero de 2021. Luego de ser hospitalizado, falleció pacíficamente en su casa debido a las complicaciones del Covid-19. Siempre permanecerá en el corazón de quienes lo amaron. Su presencia siempre permanecerá en los hermosos recuerdos que dejó atrás. Ignacio fue un hombre increíble y todos los que lo conocieron lo guardarán y apreciarán para siempre, y todos los recuerdos de él en sus corazones. Partió pero nunca  será olvidado, para siempre en nuestros corazones. Hasta que nos encontremos de nuevo.

Ignacio Cabrera was born on July 31, 1962, in Verdia, Jalisco, Mexico.  Born to Hermilo Cabrera Rodriguez and Juana Sencion Padilla. Brother to Clemente, Mario, Silviano, Antonino, Miguel, Marta, Yolanda, Maria De Jesus, Lucia, and Javier Cabrera. Ignacio married the love of his life, Maria Cabrera, at the young age of 17 years old. In 1982 they welcomed their firstborn, Rosa Angela Cabrera, two years later in 1984, they welcomed their second daughter Bianca Nataly Cabrera. Together they lived in their beautiful rancho in Verdia, Jalisco until one day Ignacio decided to follow the American Dream and bring his family to the United States. They arrived in South Central, Los Angeles in 1986. Daughter Angelica Cabrera, the third addition to the family was born in 1987 followed by Marta Cabrera in 1990. The last addition to the family and first son Ignacio Cabrera Jr. was born in 1997. Ignacio proudly worked as a machine operator for 20 years in a company he loved. When Ignacio wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time on his Compton, California farm. He loved growing crops and animals (goats, horses, cows, and his greatest passion was his roosters). Ignacio and his wife lived a very happy and modest life alongside their daughters and son. Ignacio was a very proud father. He always spoke highly of all of his children’s accomplishments. As a father, Ignacio was very stern yet showed his love and affection through his humor, one of his greatest traits. His humor and great parenting leave his children beautiful childhood memories they will always cherish. As a grandpa, better known as “Yito”, he was always super sweet and lovable to all his grandchildren. They all loved and respected him. All of his grandchildren enjoyed spending time with Ignacio and will always hold on to their donut stories, donuts being something he loved sharing with all his grandkids. Or the many buffet outings with his grandkids. As a husband, he was romantic and loved to show his love for his wife whenever possible, surprising her with flowers or simply by just calling her “amor “ or “viejita Chula”. He was happily married to his wife Maria for 38 years, until her heavenly departure in September 2019. Losing his life partner wasn’t easy but he was strong for his children. In 2020, he kept busy by working, visiting his daughters often, and enjoying breakfast outings with them at his favorite restaurant “El Portón”. He would try and visit his daughters daily for dinner because he knew his daughters would cook many of his favorite dishes. He loved Birria, Menudo, Pozole, or just a nice big piece of steak. He loved and always seemed his happiest when spending time with his family. After losing his beloved wife he grew his bond with his daughters and for that that they will always be grateful. Unfortunately, Ignacio left the physical world on January 4, 2021. After being hospitalized, he peacefully passed in his home due to Covid-19 complications. He will always remain in the hearts of those that loved him. His presence will always remain in the beautiful memories he left behind. Ignacio was an amazing man and all who knew him will forever hold and cherish him and all memories of him in their hearts. Gone but never forgotten, forever in our hearts. Until we meet again.
