
Jackie Petty-Mills was born on July 6th, 1949 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ruth and Jack Kepner. After a long 2 year courageous battle with cancer, Jackie passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Oct 26, 2011. At the age of 5 Jackie and her family located to Arizona for a short stay of 3 years. At the age of 8 they relocated to Mar Vista, California. Jackie attended Braddock Elementary, Mark Twain Middle School and went on to graduate from Venice High School in 1967.
Jackie dedicated 35 years of her life to Lucky/Albertsons market before she retired in 2006. She also attended Flavio's Beauty College and received her Cosmetology License where she then worked as a hair stylist in her spare time.
Jackie was very outgoing and had many hobbies. She loved to travel, dance, bowl, snorkel and make stain glass windows. She had a rare hobby where she would dress up in true "Jackie Fashion" and notoriously crash various church events. The "Party Crasher" Jackie………….
Jackie started attending Del Air Assembly in 1996 when she re devoted her life to the Lord. She instantly became heavily active within the church and its functions. She served as a board member for one term. She went on to start and head the singles ministries that she felt there was a strong need and desire for within the church. Jackie's Love for the Lord was a true reflection by the way she lived her life.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memories, her older sister Sharon, her two sons Ralph and Brian, brother In-law Brad, daughter in-law Deanna, niece Pam, nephew Bob, grand children Stephanie and Nicolas, her loving church family and many many friends.
Jackie was an amazing mother and the best friend anyone could ever wish for. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and kind heart. She maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Because she was so loved, her spirit will live in our hearts and memories for ever. Jackie will truly be missed……..
