Jim was born in Johnstown, PA and raised in Waynesboro, PA. With his two children he moved to California where in 1994 he settled in El Segundo, CA. Jim worked for Northrop Grumman and truly loved his job in Aerospace, a field that he worked in for over 25 years. His work ethic set the standard of excellence and a great example for those around him. It was there that he made many wonderful friends and built great bonds. He loved deep sea fishing, playing pool, Bluegrass Music, cartoons and candy. He loved to collect items such as coins and comics and he enjoyed anything Sci-Fi. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved to watch the games with his two grandsons in which he kept outfitted in Steelers apparel since their birth. In early 2006 Jim met the love of his life, Norma Mock. They were married by December of that year and enjoyed many wonderful memories in the short time that they had shared together. He loved to travel and eat good food. The holidays were his favorite time of year and always looked forward to family gatherings. But most of all, he just enjoyed being around those he loved. He approached life everyday with honesty and integrity and he battled cancer bravely. Jim loved life and fought long and hard for the ones he loved. Those are our special memories and life lessons he has given to his family.
