Joseph George Kawamura

Joseph was a steadfast father and husband. Unyielding in both his decency and his love for his family.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Valerie, daughter Debbie, son Chris and five grandchildren.

With few words, he showed his love through his actions.  Whether it was simply cooking for his family, or driving 8 hours both ways to help his son move to a new dorm, this was his dedication to us.

Nurturing a garden full of green life was his hobby.  It grows and flowers even now.

In his search for truth, he always took the path straight and narrow.  Even when no one was looking, he would inevitably opt for doing the correct thing rather than the easy thing.

He began by achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, two Masters Degrees from MIT, and finally a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.

For him, every aspect of the world was something to study and document.   The observations over a lifetime led to ingenious solutions around the house.  His application of intellect and a willingness to fix and improve things, was one of his many gifts to his children.

The Word was his guide, in this life and the next.

Rejoice, rejoice!  A new angel joins the choir today!  He is with Jesus in heaven.
