O'Malley, Joseph Patrick a 45 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2001 in Torrance. Born in Oakland, CA, Joseph was 66 when he died. Joseph got his A.B. degree in physics from U.C. Berkeley and worked as a software and systems designer 38 years for TRW. He was interested in Japanese and Irish culture, studied maritime history, enjoyed classical music and enjoyed the beach lifestyle, watching beach volleyball and surfing in Manhattan Beach. He is survived by Sons, Patrick O'Malley of Lomita and Thomas O'Malley of Sunnyvale, CA and their mother Karen and grandchildren Breanna, Cassidy, Laurel, Liam and Hazen. An Irish Wake will be held at Mr. O'Malley's Home on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at 12:00 Noon. For more information contact the family at (310) 542-5892.
