
Joyce Margaret Auclair, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2005. She was born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts on November 18, 1932. She moved to the South Bay area with her husband and children fifty-one years ago. She loved her arts and crafts projects and when she was not busy doing them, she was often seen at the local bingo hall. She loved to cook and homemade candy was her specialty. She was known as “The Fudge Lady†and made over fifty pounds of various kinds of fudge every Christmas. It was said that her peanut brittle was better than See’s. Joyce loved life and never missed an opportunity to live it to the fullest. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Leo Auclair, her loving children Leo Auclair Jr. (Karen), William Auclair, Patricia Auclair, and Donna Ackerman (Scott), her grandchildren Leo Auclair III, Eric Auclair (Andy), Julia Ackerman, Jessica Ackerman, and Felicia Ackerman, and her great granddaughters Rainbow and Isabella. Joyce was deeply loved by her extended family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Rice Mortuary to share in a memorial service with reception to follow.
