Karen Marie Cotter, a 24 year resident of Anaheim CA, passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2014 in Harbor City, CA. Born in Columbus Ohio, Karen was 60 when she died from complications following a heart transplant. Karen worked in the accounting industry with much success ultimately working as a CFO.
She is survived by sister Bridget Hurd, brother-in-law, David Hurd; parents Richard Clay and Irene Mary Sheeders her niece Angie and many friends who loved and cherished her friendship. She was predeceased by her brother Mark Sheeders.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Rice Mortuary, Torrance, CA. A reception for family and friends will follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception until 5:00pm. Interment will be on January 17, 2015 at Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Karen's favorite charities, The City Of Hope and The Smile Train.
