
Kathy leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Anthony; daughter Evelyn, and her husband Tom Pitta of San Diego; and daughter Teresa, and her husband Tim Hillis of Laguna Hills. Kathy also leaves behind four grandchildren: twin grandsons Mark and Kyle, granddaughter Marissa, and grandson Matthew. Two younger brothers survive Kathy: Stephen Redl in Hungary and Joseph Redl in Germany. As well, Kathy is survived by four nieces and Goddaughter Marika.
Kathy was born in Mezofalva, Hungary on November 20, 1921, to Paul and Katalin Redl. After World War II, Kathy was deported to Germany where she lived for nine years. In 1955, Kathy immigrated to the United States, where she met Anthony, and has been a resident of Torrance for 54 years. She worked at Lido Knitting Mills for 25 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, and exercising with the Silver Sneakers. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
