

Ladislav Antonín Majringer, 63, passed away on January 10, 2009, as the result of a tragic work accident. Known in the Czech community as simply Lada, he was an exceptional individual who loved ones described as loyal and selfless.
Born on November 20, 1945, in Pilsen, Czech Republic, Lada spent the first half of his life in his home country before immigrating to the United States in search of new opportunities. Once settled, Lada started his own electrical business, a career to which he devoted himself with love and enthusiasm for nearly 30 years. Even when he wasn't working, he was always there to lend a hand to friends needing his skills. Lada’s generosity and readiness to help others were hallmarks of his character.
A dedicated individual, Lada applied his commitment not only to his professional endeavors but also to his many interests. He was passionate about a multitude of hands-on projects, including home repairs and car maintenance. His other interests included studying history, astronomy, and Old West Americana.
Lada will be remembered for his warm smile, optimism, and the way he was able to light up any room. He had a kind spirit that will be missed immensely by those who knew him.
Lada is survived by his mother, Miluška, his brother Antonín, and his five children, Patrik, Barbara, Erik, Żaneta, and Alanna.
A memorial service will be held on January 23, 2009, at 2:00 PM at the Rice Mortuary Chapel at 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. (310) 792-7599.
