Margaret Mary Silva

She was surrounded by her mother, Eileen, her sister, Elizabeth and her brother, Joseph. She was born on August 2, 1980, in Torrance, California at Torrance Memorial Hospital, to Robert and Eileen Silva. She was a 1998 graduate from West High School. Maggie should be known for her selflessness and always putting others first. She lived life with a lot of zest and her beautiful smile lit up the room. She always thought “outside the box” having her own views to ways of doing things which was a true gift. Maggie’s biggest joy was her niece, Rowan Grace. She loved spending time with her, especially taking her to the botanical gardens. Maggie is survived by her mother, Eileen, three siblings, Alex, Elizabeth (Liz), and Joseph (Joey), by four nieces and nephews, Rowan Grace, Leslie, Samantha, Elizabeth Michelle, and one great nephew, Emilio and many cousins.

A lying in state (closed casket viewing) for Margaret will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503. A rosary will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent Street, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. A reception will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Saint James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent Street, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. A committal will occur Friday, August 30, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Green Hills LA, 27501 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
