Maria Cristina Arevalo

She is survived by husband, Nicanor Arevalo of Avondale, AZ; brother Amos Bellis Jr. of Conyers, Georgia; sisters Natividad Ynolan of the Philippines; and Miriam Miraflores of Godfrey, Illinois; sons and daughters Robert Roque Jr. and Leilani Christine (Irineo II) Santos, both of the Philippines; Yvette Roque of San Pedro, California; Jeff (Carmina) Arevalo of Avondale, AZ; and Shannah Kristelle (Eric) Carias of Puyallup, WA.

A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary on Friday, October 3, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service taking place at 7:00 P.M. Inurnment will be private.

Cristy, as she was fondly called, was born on January 20, 1939 in Manila, Philippines, to the late American banker Amos G. Bellis of San Antionio, Texas and the late Fortunata Flores.

In 1981, Cristy immigrated to the United States where she worked at accounts payable division of Mattel Toys for 23 years.

Cristy had a green thumb, showing her love for gardening. Fashion was also her passion. She was best remembered for her charitable contributions to the church, family and friends who were in need.
