Maxine was married to George Lee Cofer on July 16, 1938 and he passed away in 1995. She suffered a lot when her youngest child, Ronald Lee Cofer, was killed by a drunk driver on August 17, 1997.
Mrs. Cofer is survived by a daughter, Patricia Cofer of Torrance, CA; a grandson, Christopher Cofer of Torrance, CA; a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer Prack and Andy of Temecula, CA; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Cofer. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, CA.
