
Michael was born in the Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles/Hollywood to James Elmer and Katherine Francis Shull.
Michael worked as a pipe fitter with oil refineries, the aviation industry, pools and spas.
He enjoyed going to Uncle Bill’s Pancake House every day for over 50 years to have his breakfast and talk with all his friends. He would go down to Manhattan Beach to watch the surfers and d volleyball games on the beach. He was involved in AA for over 40 years and went every week.
Michael is survived by his son Charles S. Wilson and wife Judy, half-brother Lyndall Shull (Nelda); half-sisters Joy Meyers (Dave) and Jan Hill (Jim); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild and a very special friend and caretaker Jaren Barredo.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Elmer and Katherine Francis Shull, his wife Diane Behn MuNulty in 2004, a great-granddaughter and his aunts Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth.
Friends may come and celebrate his Life on March 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm at the Joslyn Community Center, 1601 N. Valley Drive, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Paddle out or walk with us to spread his ashes on the south side and in front of the Manhattan Beach Pier on March 28th Monday at 4:00 pm. We will meet at the parking lot in front of Shellback Tavern and walk down when everyone shows up.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Los Angeles Zoo in Michael McNulty’s name.
