Michael L. Murphy

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 yrs Betty L. Murphy & their 4 children - Daughter Deborah Lee Murphy and one grandson Christopher Nocerino, Daughter Betty A. Murhpy, Rogers, Silveroli and grandson Frank Rogers & wife Jessica & great granddaughter Grace Marie Rogers, grandson Patric Rogers & Vanessa Silveroli.

Son, Michael D. Murphy and Daughter Denise Murphy, Adalem & husband Efren Adelem. Two brothers, Maurice Murphy & wife Dorene, brother Daniel Murphy & wife Cecilia, a sister Jane Maltman and sister Kathleen Peterson. Numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Michael was born October 17, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN. He was one of 8 children, all attended Accension Catholic School in Minn

After Parents Thomas & Jane Murphy passed away he came to Los Angeles, CA. in 1949 to live with his eldest brother Thomas Murphy & wife Helen. They moved to Gardena CA in 1951. He graduated from Gardena High School in 1953. Went to work as a carpenter, married and had four children. Formed his own successful construction co., (D.B.A.) Pyramid Builders in 1963. Retired in 1993 when son Michael took over the company.

He was loved by many, respected by all and will be truly missed.

Funeral arrangements made by Rice White & Day mortuary in Torrance, CA. Services were held at St. James Catholic Church in R.B. on June 12, 2006. Final resting place at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
