
Longtime Manhattan Beach resident Michele Claire Eisner passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011. She was 73. Michele, affectionately known as “Mike,†was born March 11, 1938, to William and Rose Kearney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1952 they relocated to Chicago suburb Park Forest, Illinois, where, during high school, she met Marc Eisner, who would become the love of her life and husband of 52 years. They moved to Manhattan Beach in 1982. A breast cancer survivor, Mike suffered a severely debilitating stroke in 1993 which she confronted with an unequalled amount of courage and dignity. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mike is survived by husband Marc, daughter Laura Parker (Jon) of Manhattan Beach and sons Ron (Kathy) of San Raphael, CA, Cliff (Mary) of Lafayette, CA, and Les (Julie) of El Segundo. Other survivors include grandchildren Sadie, Quinn, Aisley, Brett, Natalie, Jack, Mike, Jill, Anna, Jamie, Kelly and Gary. Mike is preceded in death by her parents and sister Bernadette Bowen. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 17, 2011, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Manhattan Beach. A Committal Service will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
