
Eldridge, Patricia Ann, a 10 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009. Although born in New Jersey, she grew up in Wickenburg, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University and got her Masters of Education from The University of Arizona. She taught English as a Second Language in the Madison School District in Phoenix for over 20 years. After she retired, she moved to Redondo Beach which was close to her younger daughter and because she loved the ocean. In California she enjoyed volunteering where ever she was needed. She ushered at the Armstrong Theatre, Hermosa Beach Playhouse, South Bay Civic Light Opera and the Beach Center for Performing Arts. She also worked the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach Street Fairs. Patricia was a member of The Elks Lodge #1378 in Redondo Beach, California. Patricia loved traveling (Italy, Germany, England, Costa Rica and France), meeting new people (and she found something good in everyone), cards and all types of games, and going to the .99 cent store!
She is survived by her daughters, Dee Dee Ciprari (Joe) of Manhattan Beach, CA, Daughter, Lara Ketterman (David), of Chandler, AZ., and love of her life and partner in crime, Phillip Purpura of Torrance. She had 4 grandchildren, Marie (11) and Molly (7) Ciprari and Erin (16) and Drew (12) Ketterman. She was preceded in death by her brother Gill, and parents, Daniel and Marie Snyder.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held at The Elks Lodge #1378 in Redondo Beach on Esplanade, Wednesday, December 16th at 5:00pm.
