Passed away November 6, 2006. Born June 25, 1929 in Killerin, County Galway, Ireland. Attended St. Patrick Seminary in Thurles, IRL and was ordained to the priesthood June 14, 1953. His assignments included serving as associate pastors at St. Patrick Church, North Hollywood, St. Thomas More Church, Alhambra, St. Anthony Church, El Segundo, St. Mary Church, Fullerton, Annunciation Church, Arcadia, St. Gerard Majella Church, Los Angeles, Queen of Angels Church in Lompoc. Most recently Fr. McGee served as Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Gardena for 25 years retiring as Pastor Emeritus in the year 2000. Fr. McGee presided over the highly successful “Strawberry Festival†at St. Anthony of Padua in Gardena for many years. Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2006 from 2PM until 6PM with vigil service at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11AM. All services to be held at his beloved, St. Anthony of Padua Church in Gardena. Burial to take place in his hometown in Ireland
