Robert J Flick

Flick, Robert J., a Torrance resident of 50 years, passed away March 2, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born December 13, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aloha, sons, R. Michael and Richard G. Flick, grandchildren Chad Michael Flick, and Dorsey Lyn Henderson, and three great grandchildren: Jordan, Autumn, and Gage Henderson. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles, mother, Rose, and grandaughter, Faith Ann Flick.

Robert was a structural and civil engineer, a graduate of UCLA and Cal Berkeley. His professional life began in the City of Los Angeles, Welton Beckett, A.C. Martin Frank Burke Engineering and ended at John Martin & Associates. He retired at age 80.

A Memorial Service will be at the St. Francis Episcopal Church Chapel, 2200 Via Rosa, PVE on Saturday, March 11 at noon. Private inurnment will be scheduled for a later date at Angeles Rose Dale Cemetery in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillsides Home for Children, 940 Avenue 64, Pasadena, CA 91105.
