
Long time Redondo Beach resident passed away peacefully on October 4, 2007 after a very long illness.
Bob was the son of William and Ann and was born on September 30, 1946 in Whittier, CA and is survived by his wife, Gloria, his Mother Ann, Sister Judy, Daughters Francene, Christene and Jeanne with 6 grandchildren, Claire, Max, Gwen, Mason, Mara and Wesley, plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends plus his cat Kali.
Bob was predeceased by his father William, sister Betty and step dad William.
Bob spent his career of over 38 years with Southern California Edison and retired on September 29, 2006. His many years of service began as a pole climber and ended as Director of Public Affairs. He was a member of the El Segundo Chamber and Rotary as well as the Redondo Chamber and Rotary as past president. He was recently a member of the San Pedro Elks.
Bob loved his football and baseball and played both while at La Habra High and Whittier College. He was a major fan of USC and our local Dodgers and Angels. He had many favorite spots, such as Tony’s on the pier, the Blue Moon when it was opened and of course the Bull Pen in Redondo Beach, which gave him many hours of laughter and joy with his many friends there. He loved to travel and has visited many places over the years. His favorite travel was cruising.
A Memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on October 18, 2007 between 2 and 5 pm.
