Abend, Rose Elaine, a 64 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Santa Ana. Born in Retsof, New York, Rose was 97 when she died. She was a member of St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, and was a school teacher for 20 years.
Rose is survived by her son, Carl (Margaret) Abend of Fountain Valley, CA; daughter, Rosemary Abend of Redondo Beach, CA; son, David (Sandra) Abend of Fountain Valley, CA; 5 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Minnie Luzzo; and her husband of 57 years, Albert.
A Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Martyr Church in Redondo Beach on Thursday April 29, 2010. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
