Samuel Arthur Reese, M.D.

Born December 24, 1909 in Long Beach, California; one of eleven children. Graduate of LB Jefferson Jr. High School and LB Poly High School. Graduated from LA College of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons, later California College of Medicine--now College of Medicine, University of California, Irvine. Member of: Lions Club of Long Beach; Jr. Chamber of Commerce; Native Sons; Shrine Long Beach Masons No. 327; Long Beach Scottish Tite; former Long Beach Mounted Police; member Long Beach Professions Group Times Bldg during World War II, member of American Revolution Bicentennial Commission of California.

Five years with Metropolitan Hospital as Staff Psychiatrist, retired staff Pacific Hospital of Long Beach, Honorary staff member Long Beach Memorial Hospital, former member Neuropsychiatry of Los Angeles County General Hopsital, fellow in American College of Neropsychiatry, Certified Medical Examiner Dept of Mental Hygiene State of California, sixty two years in practice in Long Beach.

Husband of Mrs. Beatrice Rothwell Reese who passed away January 2, 1993. Dr. Reese leaves daughters Joyce Anne Parkhurst of Long Beach, CA; Melissa Jeanne Palmer of Las Vegas, NV; son Laurence Rothwell Reese of Brea, CA; nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
